The Commerce Police Department reported two cases of financial transaction card fraud during the past week.
The first occurred at a Crestwood Circle location where a 31-year-old white female said her two daughters, who are on probation for past offenses, have become unruly, skipped school and took her check card.
The victim said the girls made more than $100 in purchases, appear to be “high” on something when they come home and have been reported to be having sex with older men.
The officer confirmed that the girls have already missed 10 and seven days of school. One of the two, the report said, had run up enough “points” to be taken to the regional youth detention center.
In the other case, a 34-year-old Cotton Street man told police that someone used his identity to get credit cards with banks.
The suspect ran up $10,836 worth of charges on one card and $1,254 worth of purchases on the other.
