Disagreement leads to pair's arrest

Not only was she arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, but both were cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and the boyfriend with violation of the open container law.

The call came in from Cody Don Faubion, 22, of 277 Magnolia Place, Commerce. According to the incident report, Faubion said his girlfriend was driving while drunk and would not let him out of the vehicle.

An officer encountered the car and pulled it over, at which time, the report said, Faubion told police he called them after he and Chasity Marie Jones, 20, of 2354 Hwy. 326, Commerce, “had a disagreement.”

One officer conducted a field sobriety test on Jones, noting her slurred speech, trouble maintaining her balance and the smell of alcohol, and charged her with DUI.

A second officer saw an “open case” of Coors beer in the back seat and said he found a “small bud” of marijuana under the passenger seat. He noted the Faubion admitted having four to five beers and a Jager Bomb.
