4-car wreck ties up Jefferson Road

Motorists on the Jefferson Road had to wait a few minutes Monday night while law enforcement officials cleared a four-vehicle wreck at the intersection with B. Wilson Road.


No one was seriously injured.

Witnesses said a Commerce-bound vehicle stopped to make a left turn from Jefferson Road onto B. Wilson Road. A second car stopped, but a third vehicle was unable to stop. The collision pushed a vehicle into the southbound lane, where it was clipped by a vehicle traveling toward Jefferson.

At least two of the vehicles were heavily damaged.
