After last Thursday’s bid opening for the construction of the new Commerce High School, superintendent James E. “Mac” McCoy feels better about all of the delays in the project.
Officials open bids for the construction of the new Commerce High School. The total of the apparent low bids was $14.6 million — well under the $17 million target.

I just hope the money will actually go towards something for the school and not the sports. It is nice that the new school will have new furniture instead of the old furniture but personally I think the current furninture is ok and that newer textbooks and science lab equipment is more important.
