Commerce High School’s mat Tigers placed six wrestlers inside the top four at the state tournament and placed fourth as a team. Commerce finished fourth with 83 points. City school officials will find out how much the new Commerce High School will cost this Thursday.

Thirty-two sets of bids on everything from concrete work to structural steel will be opened starting at 3 p.m. in the Gainesville office of Charles Black Construction Company.

A Jackson County Grand Jury Monday indicted Martin Lewis Seymour, 31, of 211 Arlington Lane Commerce, on murder charges stemming from the Dec. 4 shooting death of his wife, Jamie Sue Seymour, 29.

Seymour faces arraignment Monday, March 9.
