Some larger Commerce High School classes will need temporary homes.
Health occupation and art classes will relocate to extra space at Commerce Elementary School during the construction of the new CHS as the existing classrooms will be demolished this summer. This option, approved by the BOE Monday, is much less costly than supplying modular units to house these classes for the two-year building period.

Heavy equipment is being used to prepare for the new CHS on the southeast side of the site. The school will consume more than half of the current practice field, and a retention pond will be built in the area (above) being cleared of woods.
