Only seven years after the Bear Creek Reservoir was completed in southwest Jackson County, work is under way to provide access to fishing boats to the 505-acre regional reservoir.
Workers last week poured the concrete for a boat ramp that will be accessed by Hwy. 330.
Workers pour one of the last sections of the boat ramp at the Bear Creek Reservoir.

Well yesman the article said a constuction crew from the Jackson County Correctional Institute were doing the work. If your so worried about foreigners I would think you would be glad their in jail. Maybe you would want the jails to hold more people that look like you. I'm sure there are already plenty there who think like you.

The article states that the JJCI construction crew laid the bricks for the restroom. Rest assured that the people pictured were not from JJCI. I have to agree with yesman...If I didn't have to pay taxes, I'd work for dirt-cheap too! But since we're honest, tax-paying citizens, we can't work as cheaply as they do, so we lose our jobs first.

Above post should read "JCCI" instead of "JJCI"...

If the construction workers are not paying taxes that is the fault of the construction company. If they knowingly hire illegal workers and pay them less than minimum wage they are breaking the law and the owners of the construction company should go to jail.
