The Commerce Police Department investigated three burglaries during the past week.
A Baxter Road woman told police she came home, entered her kitchen and noticed immediately that someone had been in her house.
The sliding glass door was open, kitchen drawers were open and their contents were on the floor, the television set was pulled onto the floor and the Wii game system was gone.
In her bedroom, the officer said “everything was tumbled and scattered,” and some $6,000 in jewelry was missing.
The thief stole her son’s coin collection valued at $1,000, game systems valued at $600 and two Social Security cards.
A 51-year-old white male told police he arrived at the United Community Bank construction site on Old Homer Road to find duct work and fittings valued at $357 removed.
The third burglary was reported by a Latino female at a Hillcrest Street address. No details were available.
Where is Old Homer Road?
And before everyone starts hollerin', Latino/Hispanic is not a race.
