Commerce Election: Nine running for five positions Nov. 3

When Commerce voters go to the polls in the Nov. 3 elections they’ll find nine candidates competing for five positions on the city council and school board. Qualifying closed Wednesday afternoon.

The field of candidates for Nov. 3 is:

City Council

Mayor pro tem: Keith Burchett and Sammy Thomason

Ward 1: Archie D. Chaney, incumbent

Ward 2: Darren Owensby and Donald Wilson, incumbent

School Board

District 1: Arthur Lee Pattman, incumbent, and Keelan Cashanna Rucker

District 2: Robbie Barnett and Mary Seabolt, incumbent.

All terms will be for four years.
