Region Play Under Way For Lady Tigers

The Lady Tigers softball team had a rough go of it last week, taking two on the chin from Hart County and Jefferson.

This week, Commerce hosted Towns County on Tuesday to start the region set of games. Scores from Tuesday’s game were unavailable at press time.

Thursday, Sept. 3, the e Lady Tigers will continue their hunt for region wins as they head to Social Circle to take on the Lady Redskins at 5:45 p.m.



In the 2008 season, the Lady Tigers defeated Social Circle 5-4 and 6-4.

“When we play Social, it will be a good game,” said Commerce coach Pam Canup. “They make few mistakes, play sound defense, and usually have some speed.”

Currently, Social Circle is sitting on an 0-3 record while Commerce was 2-4 record before Tuesday’s game. The Lady Tigers have scored 18 this season while Social Circle has managed but six.
