Officers were not surprised at what they found when they executed a search warrant before dawn Friday morning at the 138 Pine Avenue residence of Brandon Mason.
After all, Mason, 22, was on probation for a drug conviction in Hall County and was out on bond for a Commerce Police Department arrest for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.
And, of course, they’d obtained a search warrant after an undercover buy from Mason, Lt. Ken Harmon said.
Police say they recovered 23 grams — a “cookie” — of crack cocaine, a small amount of powdered cocaine, less than an ounce of marijuana and a set of scales.
Police charged Mason with four counts of distribution of crack cocaine, one of possession of powdered cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
“We also found evidence of where they were cooking it in the house,” said Harmon.
“They” included Mason, Labrenza Law, 27, of the same address, and Zachary Daniels, 46, of 275 Peach Hill Drive, Jefferson.
Law was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and Daniels, who was painting the living room at the time police knocked on the door, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, Harmon said.
In addition, Mack Arthur Hardman, 46, of 394 Cedar Drive, who was not present at the time, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine. He was “caught up” in the undercover buy made from Mason, Harmon said.
Mason is being held without bond in the Jackson County Jail.
As for the cops only having GED's If you live in these low income areas where you see the cops a lot more you must not have a GED or even higher than a general high school diploma.
