It’s somewhat of an American tradition that the Christmas season begins right after Thanksgiving. The Friday following Thanksgiving is called “Black Friday” because it is the day some retailers finally become profitable. Certainly in this economy, many businesses are counting on Christmas business more than ever, but there are a lot of families and countless children for whom Christmas 2009 will be very sparse without some outside help. There are always needy among us, but the high jobless rate means there will be more this year than ever before, and now is the time to step up and help.
You can help needy kids have a better Christmas
