Officers of the Commerce Police Department made 16 arrests last week, including eight people for drug-related offenses.
Those charged are:
•Dustin Lee Craven, 25, 3104 New Kings Bridge Road, Nicholson, DUI-drugs and violating the terms of a conditional driver’s license (related to DUI)
•Andrea Nicole Armistead, 34, 15 Stark Street, Lot 3, Commerce, DUI-drugs and driving without a license
•Patricia Ann Beck, 49, 402 A.C. Smith Road, Commerce, possession of cocaine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime
•Jerome Bowden, 25, 465 West Ridgeway Road, Commerce, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and two traffic violations; and Benjamin Jerry Evans, 20, 143 Park Street, Commerce, possession of drug-related objects
•Micah Jason Canup, 29, 485 Martin Trail, Clarkesville, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing and attempting to elude, obstruction, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain a lane, a brake light violation and a probation violation warrant from White County. Also, Tanya Marie Abbs, 24, and Wayne Allen Abbs, 29, both of P.O. Box 42, Carnesville, misdemeanor possession of marijuana. W. Abbs was also held on a probation violation warrant from Franklin County.
•Fred Wayne Deloatch, 48, and Tonya Octavia Jones, 32, both of 140 Norwood Lane, Commerce. Following a traffic stop for speeding, Deloatch was held on an aggravated assault warrant for Madison County and Jones on a failure to appear warrant for Madison County.
•James Yang, 29, 280 Pine Lake Drive, Commerce, DUI-alcohol and failure to maintain a lane
•Dana Marie Hadley, 32, Craven Mobile Home Park Lot 118-D, Homer, a stop sign violation and driving with a suspended license
•Fernando Baez Hilagor, 25, 935 Homer Road, Lot 69, Commerce, driving without a license, driving on the wrong side of the road, a windshield violation and giving false information
•Celia Gutierrez-Miralrio, 21, 1465 Hwy. 29 North, Lot M1, Athens, speeding (71/55) and driving without a license
•Jessica Kathryn Outz, 24, 5641 Jefferson Road, Commerce, held on an unspecified Jackson County warrant after she was stopped for speeding
•Gary Lamont Strickland, 32, 44 Woodbine Street, Commerce, battery
