Free gardening workshop offered at CHS

“There will be an emphasis on vegetables,” said Costyn, who hosted a similar workshop last year.

Topics will include — but not be limited to — soil preparation, irrigation, variety selection, locating the garden site, weed and pest control, container gardening, raised beds — “whatever they want to talk about,” Costyn said.

Costyn will also have seed catalogs available for all participants to facilitate a discussion of the newest and improved varieties.
