Motorcyclist injured On Hwy. 59

Banks and Jackson emergency medical personnel responded to an accident on Hwy. 59 near Tractor Supply Company Wednesday morning in which a pickup truck struck a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center with visible injuries, but was in stable condition. His name was not immediately available. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
