City takes warrant on former restaurant owner

The city closed the South Broad Street restaurant May 10 after police broke into the Harmony Grove Grille upon seeing Walsh lying on the restaurant floor amidst a quantity of blood.

Walsh, by some accounts has left the state for Florida, apparently cut his left hand severely as he deliberately smashed a beer bottle into the mirror behind the financially troubled restaurant’s bar while under the influence of alcohol. Another restaurant employee, sous chef Reggie Pittman, was also in the restaurant at the time. He was not injured. Neither Walsh nor Pittman was charged.

In addition to leaving a trail of blood drops throughout the downtown, Walsh reportedly broke a number of beer bottles and glasses, throwing them in his rage.

Police also learned that Walsh did not have a valid driver’s license. His Florida driver’s license had expired, an officer said.
