The Commerce Downtown Farmers’ Market will open Saturday morning at 7:00 and will be open every Saturday into the fall.
Approximately eight vendors will be on hand to offer a variety of fresh vegetables including tomatoes, squash, beets and cucumbers. Plants, herbs, flowers and even baked goods will also be available, according to Denise McKay, executive director of the Downtown Development Authority.
“The variety will increase with the season,” McKay said.
The market will be held in the parking lot along the Norfolk-Southern railroad tracks in front of Spencer Park.
Vendors are scheduled to be open until 11:00 — or until they sell out of produce.
