Is the June 14 4-2 vote by the Commerce City Council approving the 2010-11 budget a moot point?
That’s a possibility after the city council agreed at its July 6 “work session” to revisit the budget in the hope of getting a unanimous vote in its support.
At the insistence of councilman Clark Hill, the Commerce City Council will reconsider its proposed 2010-11 city budget in the hope of getting unanimous support from the council.

Why do we have to 'make up' for the difference.... have they tried 'cutting something out' rather than making us pay the difference???? Hello?? We all have to balance budgets and make cuts!

have you been living in hole? the city has already laid off workers, cut some to 32 hrs, cut out the annual christmas bonus, furloughed for 6 months, and who knows what else. i think if a small tax hike can keep us from collapse, then go for it. its a small price to pay, to continue the way we live.
