The pep rally will be held on Little Street at Spencer Park. In the event of rain, it will be held at the CHS auxiliary gym.

Tigers on the Town pep rally is Thursday

The Commerce Downtown Development Authority will help kick off the 2010-11 school year’s athletic seasons Thursday night with its annual Tigers on the Town Pep Rally.

The event, set for 7:30 p.m. in Spencer Park, will recognize the Commerce High School football team, cheerleaders, band, dance line, majorettes, cross country team and softball team.

The football Tigers start their 2010 campaign Friday night by hosting the Jefferson Dragons

The Commerce Area Business Association and the DDA will also honor the 2009-10 Teachers of the Year and will conduct a drawing to give away two sets of two CHS season tickets (with parking passes). Entry forms are available at participating downtown businesses.

In the event of rain, the pep rally will be held at the CHS gym.
