The Commerce Police Department and the Jackson County Department of Family and Children Services are investigating the alleged molestation of two young children.
According to the police incident report, a 29-year-old black female told police that her 4-year-old son had reported being inappropriately touched by the 11-year-old stepson of her ex-husband.
Mom reports two young children molested
The boy’s mother said her son told her that the older boy would take him into the bathroom, turn off the lights, touch his privates and hit him.
The woman then asked her 3-year-old son if anyone had touched him. She said he told her that his father hit him in the arms, legs and privates.
The officer asked the mother if her children had demonstrated any unusual behavior, and she said the younger son had simulated the act of masturbation and the 4-year-old had nightmares.
The report said the boys’ grandmother confirmed her daughter’s comments and that the boys had been taken to their pediatrician, who had found no signs of sexual trauma.
The report noted that DFACS is already involved in the case, and said that the mother’s boyfriend reported that when the two boys were asked about visiting their father, they did not like to go because the other kids (at the residence) are mean to them.
