COMMERCE – Jim Wilson Davis Jr., 57, died Saturday, September 4, 2010, at BJC Medical Center.
Born in Walton County, he was the son of the late Jim and Frances Hammond Davis. He was a welder and of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Davis, Commerce; children, Misty Davis and Shimen Davis, both of Winder, Donnie Denton (Lindsey), Commerce, Chris Denton (Missy Water), Anderson, S.C., Brandy Compton (Dan) and BJ Patton, both of Stephens; and grandchildren, Elora Clark, Ollie, Jensen, Isaiah, Christian and Gabe Denton, Joseph and Jacob Compton, William and Madyson Patton, Michelle Sambuco and Bradley, Kate and Kara Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Eller officiating. Burial will be at Grey Hill. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, September 6.
