Fight involving gun gets 2 banned from Ingles

But another man, who claimed he was there to protect the woman but whom the woman said she hardly knew and had not invited, showed up, drove up to the ex-husband’s vehicle, got out, opened the other man’s vehicle and “the fight was on,” according to the report.

The ex-husband managed to get away from his assailant, returned to his vehicle and grabbed a shotgun. The two men wrestled over the gun briefly, and when the ex-husband gained control of it, he left the scene.

The other man explained to the police that his pride got the better of him when the ex-husband called him a name. The ex-husband told police that a stranger parked next to him, jumped out of his vehicle and jerked the ex-husband out of his vehicle.

At the request of the Ingles manager, the officer served both men with criminal trespass warnings.
