A Commerce man told police that his mother threatened to murder him and his wife and raise their children herself, according to an incident report.
The Highland Estates resident, a 26-year-old white male, said he was bathing his kids when the phone rang. Later, he listened to the message, in which his mother told him “he was a sorry person for breaking into her house, and she would send him back to prison if she could not see his children,” the officer reported.
The man told the officer that he called his mother back, and they argued. He said she told him “I will put a bullet in both your heads and then I will raise your children.”
He also told police that another relative had warned him that his mother planned to tell the police that he’d broken into her home, when, in fact, his sister had let him in and he’d retrieved the children’s clothing stored there.
The woman was reportedly in Albany when she made the threat.
