Cleanup week planned Oct. 18-22

Residents are asked to separate the materials from yard wastes for easier pickup.

The following materials will not be picked up: construction debris, tires, paint cans and hazardous materials.

However, residents with paint cans or household hazardous materials to dispose of can take advantage of Jackson County’s “Fall into Recycling” event Saturday, Oct. 16, at the county transfer station. There they can dispose of up to six gallons of paint, paint thinner, solvents, old batteries and florescent light bulbs.
