Man says home health worker stole credit card

A 76-year-old Commerce man said a home health care worker did more than look after his medical needs.

The man, who lives at Crossing Place Apartments, says his home health care worker stole his VISA card and ran up a $731 bill. He also claimed that she has not paid back a $5,000 “loan” he made her for “personal reasons.”

Two witnesses who helped the victim contact the police said the woman, whose name they knew, “has a past history of taking advantage of older people.”
