Christmas decorating contest to be judged Monday

Categories and rules for the contest for homes and businesses are as follows:

Door Only – Natural. Decorations must be 100 percent natural materials such as vines, fruit, berries, twigs, pods and boughs. No artificial materials may be used in this category, with the exception of ribbons and bows.

Door Only – Artificial. Permanent or artificial materials may be used as well as dried materials.

Whole House – In this category all types of materials may be used to decorate the whole front of the house.

Lights – Best overall lights.

All entries must be well lighted for night judging. A panel of out-of-town judges will view the entries. Recognition will be given for first, second and third places. Prizes will be awarded to the first-place winners in each category
