For the second time in his short life, Chester, a schnauzer, got rescued.
Jefferson fireman Scott Sanders climbed out of a 25-foot dry well under a house at 36 North Main Street, Maysville, at about 12:06 Wednesday afternoon, with an apparently uninjured Chester in his arms.
That moment climaxed a rescue effort that began at about 10:45 and involved personnel from the Banks County and Jackson County EMS as well as the Jefferson Fire Department and Maysville Police Department.
Jefferson fireman Scott Sanders, holding Chester, is pulled from the bottom of the dr well.
Happy ending for Maysville rescue story

Reminds me of the cold, windy Sunday morning that Randall Reed of the Jefferson Fire Dept. climbed up a pecan tree in our yard to rescue one of our cats. One never forgets the kindness of others.
