Christmas tree recycling offered

Keep Jackson County Beautiful will host Bring One For the Chipper — which allows residents to recycle their Christmas trees — Sunday, Dec. 26, through Monday, Jan. 10.

Drop-off locations will be at the Arcade City Hall, Jefferson Civic Center, Lanier Tech in Commerce, Hoschton Depot, Jackson County Transfer Station in Jefferson and Talmo, across from the fire department.

Drop-off areas will be marked with caution tape and posters designating where trees may be placed will be visible.

No artificial trees will be accepted, officials note.
