Grinch steals Christmas gifts from porch

An unknown thief slipped onto a screened porch on Cotton Street two days before Christmas and made off with a box full of toys that were going to be Christmas presents.

The Commerce Police Department report said that the victim, a 24-year-old white male, said the 42-inch-square box contained about $200 worth of toys and games.

The porch door was not locked. There was no indication of a forced entry.
