Jackson deputies make 17 arrests

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17 people during the past week, including the following:
•Benjamin James Bennett, 25, 479 Hillside Way, Maysville, violation of probation.
•Steven Shane Clark, 18, 460 Highway 82, North, Jefferson, criminal trespass, obstruction or hindering of law enforcement officer and two counts of being a party to a crime.
•Jason O’Neil Farmer, 35, 347 Kesler Road, Athens, battery and disorderly conduct.
•Joshua Robert Richey, 25, 586 Pleasant Acres Drive, Maysville, tag light required, DUI alcohol and habitual violators
•Curtis Jordy Simmons, 24, 5577 Holly Springs Road, Pendergrass, loitering or prowling.
•Teresa Jeanette Anglin, 48, 352 Williamson Street, Jefferson, probation violation.
•Maurice Devon Carruth, 37, 76 Winding Vine Lane, Nicholson, terroristic threats and acts.
•Robert Dean Ellen, 43, 105 Shady Lane Court, Maysville, suspended license, tire requirement and headlight requirement.
•Justin Allen Harris, 22, 1141 Hardman Orchard Road, Maysville, failure to appear and giving false name to officer.
•Matthew Ole Dittrich, 37, 236 Seagar Street, Jefferson, pedestrian under the influence.
•Tyshecia Nikia Ushi Jones, 23, 217 Putter Place, Athens, theft by shoplifting and theft by receiving stolen property.
•Glynn David McQuire, 40, 2041 Sunsuite Court, Lawrenceville, fleeing or attempting to elude officers.
•Stacie Camille Nash, 40, 191 Moore Court, Athens, aggressive driving and violation of Georgia’s Controlled Substance Act.
•Gregory Cecil Pardue, 54, 711 Sosebee Road, Talmo, expired registration, no valid insurance and failure to stop at stop sign.
•Melissa Brown Griggs, 25, 2167 Corfell Street, Port Charlotte, Fla., homicide by vehicle, DUI drugs and failure to yield while turning left.
•Cynthia Monique Jewell, 22, 133 Langford Court, Athens, no license on person, child safety restraint violation and two counts of theft by shoplifting.
•Milton Allen Powell, 45, 208 Bravo Drive, Pendergrass, open container, DUI alcohol and failure to maintain lane.
