Dedication, open house at new CHS on Sunday

The Commerce City School System will dedicate its new flagship school — the new Commerce High School building — Sunday, and the community is invited to the party.

Officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:00, and open the 136,500-square-foot facility, which opened Jan. 18, to the public.

To commemorate the event, MainStreet Newspapers has published a special section of The Commerce News and The Jackson Herald, which covers the highlights of the new building and provides comments from educators about how the new facility — and the state-of-the-art technology — will affect the education of Commerce children.
