By Susan Harper
I said something to a friend once about the road to hell being paved with good intentions, and she said, “Wow. Mine must be a super-highway!”
We laughed, but I made note of the fact that both of our statements seemed to presume that we each build and pave our own road to – well, to wherever we’re headed next. But the Bible seems to suggest repeatedly that there’s a collective aspect to the road-building enterprise, just as there is in “real life,” and that we have to learn to play nicely together if we want to get anywhere good. Of course the Bible also suggests that the Kingdom of God has been right here all along — “within you,” according to the Gospel of Luke.

Interesting article, though I would submit that the Answer to our human dilemma was born in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago.
