Commerce residents might have to pay an additional $2 to $3 per month in garbage fees to get curbside recycling.
City manager Clarence Bryant, responding to a request from Ward 4 councilman Clark Hill, reported at Monday night’s council work session on talks he’d had with Waste Management officials about instituting recycling in Commerce.
City manager Clarence Bryant says adding curbside recycling will cost Commerce residents $2 to $3 a month more than what they're currently paying for garbage services.

My suggestion would be to get a bid from Waste Pro for City of Commerce Trash pickup. If they can provide the recycling at $0.25 per month cheaper than Waste Management(see article on Dr. Hill-Recycling March 9th), give the contract to them. We don't need any more charges added to our utility bills, how about some reductions?

Waste Managment doesn't deserve what their making now $14.50 a month and they can't even put your trash cans back from where they got them from. If they can't come down on the price then the city and its officals needs to find someone that can. It's not like their the only company that does this job.And if the city can't get behind this then we need to start looking at replacing them.
