Benton introduces bills for bipartisan election of magistrate, probate judges

Rep. Tommy Benton introduced legislation last week that would make future elections of the chief magistrate judge and the probate judge nonpartisan.

The legislation came at the request of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. Unlike most local legislation that is passed as a matter of courtesy, this bill will go on the House calendar “just like any other bill,” Benton said Tuesday.

“We’ve done a lot of this for other areas, so I don’t expect a problem,” Benton added.

Also last week, Benton dropped local legislation — also requested by the board of commissioners – that would combine the Board of Voter Registration and the Board of Elections.

Tommy you need to not worry probate judge problem. You need to focus on save your butt, jackson co.'butt in fact the whole USA's butthave you been worried aabout our whole nation. The USA can't help every body and their nation to. Go get worrying about if we
are going to with our Good old USA's problem. And not worry some probate nonpartisan stuf
you're wasteing tax payer's money the most stupidest stuff I have ever saw junkie stuff
like how come a frog can junp or sending so much junk and it cost us for to pay the space ships etc.

This isn't so bad... This could be a better solution to voting all together,instead of voting for a Dem. or Rep. people will look at the person running for office... I do agree that there are things that need more attention at this time though.
