Name change, celebration at hospital Wednesday

BJC Medical Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary and unveil its new name next Wednesday, March 30, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the front lawn.

Restoration Healthcare will also celebrate its first year of ownership.

“The first year for Restoration Healthcare’s involvement at BJC has been a blessing,” said Steve Clapp, president of Restoration Healthcare and interim CEO. “The community, medical staff and employees have embraced the changes over the year. We have been able to reinvest in the hospital this past year and will continue to do so. This year we have already purchased digital mammography; we are installing a new computer system for more efficient patient/doctor communication. We have also submitted a certificate of need (application to) the State of Georgia to initiate inpatient geriatric psychiatric services.”
