The Commerce Planning Commission gave its blessing Monday night for a company that plans to put a scrap metal recycling plant on Old Maysville Road.
KOK Recycling has signed a lease, according to planning director David Zellner, on the old Lafarge concrete production lot at 3278 Old Maysville Road, between Snider Tire and Roper Pump Company.
To make that happen, KOK must get a conditional use permit (CUP) from the Commerce City Council. Monday’s action by the planning commission is a recommendation that the council grant KOK’s request. The city council will take up that matter Monday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Commerce Room of the Commerce Civic Center.
