Speakers will include Brooke Yarbrough, an honor graduate, and valedictorian Parker Wilson and salutatorian John Robinett.
The EJCHS ROTC will post the colors, Lydia An, a faculty member, will sing the national anthem and Miki McGinnis, senior class secretary and an honor graduate, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Brion Youngs, senior class vice president and an honor graduate, will welcome guests.
Shane Chiasson will announce scholarship recipients and Tundi Massey will present the HOPE scholars. Danny Ray Bartlett, a senior chorus member, will sing “You Raise Me Up.”
Stueck will present the class and Dr. Shannon Adams, superintendent of schools, will award the diplomas. Abby Adams, an honor graduate, will confer the diplomas.
Sam Williamson will introduce the EJCHS band and chorus, which will perform “Like an Eagle.” Honor graduate Anna Adair will close the event, and senior class president and honor graduate Bralee Griffin will preside over a moment of silence. Dakota Chandler will introduce the alma mater, which will be led by the seniors in the EJCHS Chorus.
CHS Ceremony Is Friday At 8:00
Ninety-six students will graduate from Commerce High School Friday night during commencement ceremonies starting at 8 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
Joseph Tyler Adams, valedictorian, Samantha Paige Sellers, salutatorian, Carley Victoria Bryant, third honor graduate, and Haiden Alizabeth Nunn, fourth honor graduate, will address their classmates under the theme of “Oz and Ends,” from “The Wizard of Oz.”
Steven Channing Anderson will welcome the guests and Kacee Leigh Cooper will introduce special guests. Dr. Joy Tolbert, assistant superintendent, will recognize students for awards received at the Honors Day program.
Principal Donnie Drew will present the class, Dr. James McCoy, superintendent, will confirm the graduation, and Dr. Paul M. Sergent, chairman of the Commerce Board of Education, will present diplomas. Ethan Bryant Thomas will provide the closing prayer.
Students will march on and off the field to music provided by the Commerce High School Marching Tiger Band.
