The heavy equipment is in the parking lot. The last stage of demolition at the old Commerce High School building should begin this week.
“We’ve got the tractors in the parking lot as we speak,” superintendent James “Mac” McCoy said Monday afternoon. “Hopefully, they will start this week.”
The plan is to remove the former media center, band room, south wing and two more classroom spaces off the administrative wing.
This part of the old CHS will be remodeled for use as system administrative offices.

Don't forget...the construction of the track at the middle school is complete! It still needs a fence, bleachers, and concessions though.
