Nicholson sets fireworks display Saturday

The City of Nicholson will celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks show again this year.

The event is set to begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, in the park behind Nicholson City Hall.

Fireworks will go off at 9 p.m.

“There will be food, entertainment, games and fireworks,” leaders state.

The Dalton Gang and the GTOs will be performing.

A “Mellow Yellow’ chug contest and a watermelon eating contest are also on the agenda.

Several different food booths will be set up and there will be inflatables for the kids, leaders said.

Attendees can bring a blanket or a lounge chair to sit in.
