It appears that when the final numbers are in, Commerce will have finished the 2010-11 fiscal year that ended June 30 about $540,000 in the red.
And that is (relatively) good news, insists James Wascher, the city’s accounting manager.
Wascher presented the June financial statement to the city council Monday night and noted that since the numbers were for June, they are basically year-end figures.
“There will be some changes before the audit,” he said.
