Thanks to the persistence of Ward 4 city councilman Clark Hill, Commerce residents will have the opportunity to recycle most of their household refuse.
City manager Clarence Bryant told the city council at its Monday night work session that Hill had talked Waste Management into providing a recycling bin to be placed at the Public Works Department parking lot on Waterworks Road. Waste Management will also service the bin, dumping it when it is full.
Councilman Clark Hill talked Waste Management into setting up a recycling bin on Waterworks Road and servicing it at no cost to the city.

It seems to me that Bryant does a lot of warning but never does anything to help his town maybe its time for a change in power.
recycling - experienced it in Florida - no
recycling and what a waste. It is a require-
ment in our city and they provide bins (and
if it is a large family/employer you can purchase a large barrell) - it really works
and your garbage is sometimes randomly checked
and a fine issued if you are not recycling.
Good for everyone and there is no problem and
we all know what can be put in the recycling
because when this first started they issued
leaflets taped to the bin on instructions and
what days it would be picked up at the curb
in certain areas.
