Advertisements for bids began running this week for the 5,000-square-foot expansion of the Commerce Public Library.
Beth McIntyre, director of the Piedmont Regional Library, told the Commerce Library Board Monday night that the bids are due in by 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the library. A pre-construction meeting for potential bidders is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, but is not mandatory.
