12-year-old killed in accident

A 12-year-old Douglasville boy was killed Friday night in a wreck on I-85 near Commerce.

The boy died after being thrown from a SUV driven by a family member, according to reports. A tire reportedly blew out and the vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic and hit a guard rail.

The State patrol indicated that the boy not wearing a seat belt.
