Burglar hits 2 Homer Road businesses

The Commerce Police Department is investigating a pair of Saturday night burglaries at Homer Road businesses that bore strong similarities.

An employee of Nail Artists told police that she’d left money in the cash register when she went home. When she returned, she found the lock on the door drilled, the cash missing and that someone had “went through” 24 bottles of nail polish.

The story was very similar at Sheri’s Salon, also on Homer Road.

A 46-year-old white female reported that someone made off with a metal box containing $75 in change.

The officer noted that the lock on the salon door was drilled out.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to Call the Commerce Police Department at 706-335-3200.
