On a 3-2 vote, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners agreed Monday night on a design and budget for new EMS stations in Commerce and West Jackson. The Commerce location would be on Steve Reynolds Industrial Boulevard about a half mile off Hwy. 98, according to public safety director Steve Nichols.
A new EMS station is also planned for Plainview but that design and budget were not included in the vote because the land acquisition is not finished. The design of the EMS station in Plainview is expected to be the same but the specifics won’t be determined until the land purchase is finalized.

I thought these were to be built with SPLOST dollars? The law says you have to use that money for stated purposes and not anything else. The only hing that is broke in Jackson County is the learning ability of people like Commissioner Smith who has already cost the county hundreds of thousands of dollars for being a racist. If Smith wants to get rid of BM&K so bad, why doesn't he produce some type proven information that proves what only and few of his cronies assume. This has been going on for two years and Smith has yet to prove anything. What is tragic is that the people of his district had a chance to run someone against this fool and they didn't. He is an embarassement to Jackson County.

Perhaps we should spend a few dollars on grammar classes?
