The City of Commerce will officially install its new mayor and city council members in a called meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22.

In the Commerce Room of the Commerce Civic Center, the only item on the agenda will be to swear in Clark Hill as mayor and Mark Fitzpatrick (Ward 3), Steve Perry (Ward 4) and Johnny Eubanks (Ward 5) as city councilmen.

Fitzpatrick and Eubanks are incumbents who ran without opposition on Nov. 8. Hill defeated Donald Wilson and Tommy Stephenson to succeed 22-year mayor Charles L. Hardy Jr., and Perry defeated Chris Bulls to win the council seat vacated by Hill.
