Commerce man injured in Madison County wreck

A Commerce man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on McGinnis Chandler Road in Madison County Friday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Edward Minish, 67, was injured when he lost control of his 2000 Chevy pickup in a curve and ran off the roadway into a ditch at approximately 7:44 a.m. The vehicle overturned and came to rest in a field.

The “jaws of life” were used to extricate Edwards, who was flown by helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital.
