Wife, at hubby's urging, tries to shoot him

According to the incident report, officers responded to 1211 Crossing Place at about 12:45 a.m. where a 46-year-old white male told police that he and his wife had argued, with the woman accusing him of flirting with a girl they both talked to and him alleging he’d caught her kissing another man and informed her that their “marriage was over.”

The officer noted that both subjects were intoxicated.

The husband said his wife, Catherine E. Grizzle, 52, argued with him and passed out on the floor. He said he called her daughter to tell her to come pick up her child, which she did. However, Grizzle also woke up, he said, and argued more, at which time she confronted him with a .38 caliber handgun.

“If you really want to kill me, pull the trigger,” the report said the husband urged. “Pull it. If you really want to kill me, pull it.”

She did.

The officer noted that when police arrested her, Grizzle became “belligerent” and was “yelling obscenities.” The report indicated she calmed down once she was in the police vehicle.
