A Commerce man awakened to find that his girlfriend, who he described as “messed up with drugs,” could not be trusted, according to the Commerce Police Department.
The victim, a 36-year-old white male, told police that when he went to sleep one night his girlfriend was on the computer. When he awakened the next morning, he said, she was gone — and so was his wallet containing $300 in cash, his driver’s license, two credit cards and a debit card. Also missing were an iPad II in its carrying case and two prescription bottles containing Lortab and Soma, each with 20 pills left.
The officer investigating the report said the victim told him that the suspect was “messed up on drugs and probably took his stuff to get drugs.”
