The Jackson County Board of Commissioners may consider asking voters to decide whether the Sunday sale of alcohol should be allowed in the county’s unincorporated areas.
Speaking during a town hall meeting in Hoschton on Thursday, county manager Kevin Poe said the earliest that such a proposal could be put on the ballot is July 31 — a primary election date that will already include a number of other local races. After that, the commissioners could put the question to voters on the ballot for the November general election.
